NEW LIFE CHURCH, COLORADO SPRINGS, 30 DECEMBER 2011
PROPHECY CONCERNING THE NEED FOR REPENTANCE BY CERTAIN LEADERS
The Lord has heard the prayers of those who are faithful to Him in the New Life Church in Colorado Springs. The foundation of the church stands sure because the Lord knows which members of the congregation and leadership are His. He is fully aware of those who are walking humbly before Him and who are in tune with what the Holy Spirit is doing in the ministry of the church.
The Lord has also heard the cries of those who have been treated unjustly by certain members of the church leadership. These are the ones who have had to endure punishment for perceived offenses after they have truly repented and put their lives right before Him.
He has seen the lies that these church leaders have said to the congregation to mislead and to cover up the truth concerning the Haggard family. These leaders knew the truth but chose to keep that truth in their own hearts and to promulgate that which was not true so as to give the congregation the impression that they were conducting guidance and restoration according to His Word when in reality they were adding further punishment and restrictions to someone who had already shown the Lord that he had truly repented.
Because these leaders chose to do what was in their own hearts instead of waiting on the Holy Spirit to guide them, they have conducted themselves according to a religious spirit instead of the Holy Spirit. The result is that they have punished those whom God has forgiven, have dismissed staff members whom God would have had remain in place, and have punished innocent believers because of the perceived sins of others.
The Holy Spirit is a Spirit of truth, and because those leaders decided not to abide in the Spirit, their statements to the congregation concerning the Haggard family were motivated by a lying spirit.
If it was not for the faithful believers in the congregation who cried out to the Lord, He would have removed the church’s candlestick from its place and the church would have died. At one point, the axe was certainly at the foot of the tree, ready to cut the tree down to save further damage to the Body of Christ in Colorado Springs. But He has heard the prayers of faithful people and He restrained His hand and installed a new pastor who is faithful to Him.
Because the Lord sees into the hearts of men, He knows who those leaders are who were unfaithful to Him in the way they conducted themselves. He also knows the hearts of those who once presented themselves as close friends to the Haggard family, and then in their time of trial turned their backs and said that they were never friends at all but employees. The Lord knows what spirit was motivating their conduct and it was not the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is a Spirit of truth, faithfulness and integrity. These leaders and co-workers with the Haggard family did not conduct themselves with truth, faithfulness and integrity, therefore they opened themselves to lying, condemning and religious spirits that were not of God, and in so doing trampled the good Name of Christ underfoot.
Although the Lord is maintaining the effective ministry of the New Life Church in Colorado Springs by the Holy Spirit, He has placed a barrenness into the ministries of those leaders and co-workers who conducted themselves according to another spirit. Instead of the good fruit that they would have produced, all they will show are leaves similar to the fig tree that Jesus cursed. Their conduct has brought a curse upon themselves, and instead of storing up treasure of gold, silver and precious stones as a result of their ministries, all they have is wood, hay and stubble, which will be burned up in the Day of the Lord. Already, the Holy Spirit is speaking to faithful men and women in the congregation to answer why the ministry of these leaders have “gone off the boil” and no longer has the same anointing that it once had.
But the Day of Judgment has not come yet. The Lord is holding out His hands of love and grace toward those who have the curse of barrenness upon them. If they repent of their evil deeds, He will not reward them evil for evil, but will forgive and restore them and lift the curse of barrenness from them so that their ministries will bear good fruit, glorifying the Name of Christ.
This is how they will show the fruit of repentance. They will confess their sin before the congregation and ask forgiveness for the lies they told. They will contact staff members who have been dismissed and ask their forgiveness and restore them to ministry in the church. They will issue statements to other pastors and church leaders to countermand any negative information they have given to discourage these staff members having ministry in other churches. They will also make a public statement that the list of accusations they compiled that were additions to what Ted Haggard actually confessed was a fabrication inspired by a lying spirit. They will stand before the congregation and renounce the lying, condemning, and religious spirits and be prepared to accept deliverance ministry if required. They will actively support Ted Haggard’s present ministry in Colorado Springs and will actively support the ministry against any criticism of condemnation coming from those who would try to undermine what Ted is currently doing through his new church. They will lift the ban off his books and CDs and encourage the sale and distribution of them, because the Lord has clearly indicated that He has not removed His calling from him and what Ted has taught and written is still anointed and being used of the Holy Spirit to bear good fruit for Christ.
Even though the events which precipitated the disobedience occurred five years ago, the offenses still remain before the Lord and there is no statute of limitations on them. They are still as relevant today as they were five years ago.
The Lord will not always strive with those who need to repent. Today is the day of grace for them. He says today, if they do not harden their hearts when they hear His voice and if they repent, the Lord will restore them immediately. If they do harden their hearts, the day will come when the Lord will stop warning them and will leave them to face the consequences of their evil deeds, including removing them from ministry and leadership altogether and causing them to be totally forgotten to face that Day when they will account to Christ Himself for the things they did.
The Lord who searches the hearts of men will know if they truly repent from their hearts and not put up another pretence. He will make known to those in the congregation with discernment that the repentance is genuine, and will confirm to the others that the congregation can have the confidence that the Holy Spirit is back with them.
